Frequently Asked Questions
To help ensure a fair adjudication process, we ask adjudicators not to sign up for productions where they have a significant conflict of interest, such as knowing multiple cast members or members of the production team. If a conflict arises after you’ve been assigned a show, please contact Katelyn as soon as possible.
We understand that emergencies happen. If you are no longer able to attend an assigned performance, please notify Katelyn as soon as possible so we can arrange for another adjudicator to attend.
No. To maintain the integrity and anonymity of the adjudication process, adjudicators should not discuss the production or their evaluation with directors, students, or school representatives.
After the adjudication season concludes, the Butler Arts Awards team compiles and averages all adjudicator rubrics to determine nominations and award recipients.
Schools receive their written feedback approximately one week after their production closes. Numerical scores are shared only after all participating schools have completed their productions for the season.
Please contact Katelyn, and we’ll be happy to help resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
